#Papaya: I gotta be honest, it took me a while to like papaya, but once I added lime and a tinge of salt, yummy. It’s also a great #fingerfood for Theo.
It’s packed with #vitaminC, #vitaminA, #potassium, #folate, and #fiber. The naturally occurring enzyme #papain specifically helps digest proteins. It’s also a great #lowcalorie #snack with only 60 calories per cup. The rich color means it’s high in #antioxidants. Great all around!

I can’t help it. If I have almost-rotten #bananas, I am making my #OneBowl #BananaNutBread. Just a few tweaks to last one. Key word: #darkchocolate.
Wet ingredients: ½ cup #oliveoill, 1/3 cup #maplesyrup, 2 tsp vanilla extract, 2 large eggs, and 2-3 VERY #ripebananas (as pictured). Ripe bananas are sweeter and therefore you can get away with using less added sugars.
Dry ingredients: 1 cup whole wheat flour, ½ cup #oats, ½ cup #walnuts, ¾ tsp baking soda, and ¼ cup of #raisins, and ¼ cup chocolate (85%!) 1) Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2) Combine wet ingredients in large bowl, adding bananas last.
3) Then add dry ingredients to the SAME BOWL one by one, starting with the flour.
4) Pour into greased loaf pan and garnish with a little more dark chocolate.
5) Bake for 40 minutes.

So, I usually don’t post pics of my stomach (except for when I was ginormous and posting pics of my belly in a bra… Oh, Alanna). BUT I am super proud of myself!!! Less than 9 months after giving birth to my big-little baby (9 lbs), I am at my pre-pregnancy weight and with a pseudo 4-pack! Good ol’ food and exercise does come through in the long run.
